STEP BY STEP: ONE FOOT INTO THE FUTURE
"Un Pie towards the Future" aims to provide a foot prosthesis to Edwin, an 8-year-old boy who comes from the municipality of Guapi, Valle del Cauca. This project not only generates a significant and measurable social impact by promoting inclusion and solidarity , but also translates into personal benefits by improving the child's quality of life. This allows you to achieve greater independence, confidence and interaction with society.
In addition to these benefits, the project has an educational value, since it promotes access to education , which is reflected in school attendance and participation in educational activities that contribute to the development of fundamental competencies and the strengthening of essential values. , such as equal opportunities, solidarity and empathy towards others in society. The Casa de Colombia Foundation works every day to improve the HEALTH and EDUCATION of the child population in Colombia through comprehensive programs and medical conferences with doctors from the United States who come to Colombia to provide their services to vulnerable populations with different diagnoses. doctors. Their work translates into a powerful tool to ensure the well-being and social inclusion of the little ones. Orthotics and Prosthetics Program:
In the process of specialized care for our children through the Children's Orthopedics Conference and Individual Care, we have found children who require support with orthoses (orthopedic shoes, splints, etc.) and upper and/or lower limb prostheses that allow them to improve. their mobility, creating greater independence and well-being for those children who do not have one or part of their limbs. This is how, together with physical rehabilitation therapies, we accompany our children in their process until they successfully complete their recovery and insertion into social and educational life.
Educational program
Our Foundation supports boys and girls who do not have the possibility of accessing the educational system with School Kits and Scholarships for primary and secondary school, allowing them to dream of a better future for themselves and their families. Scholarships are awarded throughout your student period, and are only lost due to poor academic performance.
